Join Christine Gordon, Readings Programming Manager as she discusses the art within children’s art books with Children’s Book Expert, Jennifer Fraioli.

Which children’s books celebrate art and creativity and are worth their weight in gold? Expect colour, expect sound and expect inspiration. Join us for a very special story time as we explore why pictures are worth a thousand words.

Christine Gordon Speaker

Christine Gordon is the Programming Manager of Melbourne’s pre-eminent independent bookshop, Readings, and has been in that role for well over a decade. She considers this the best job in Australia. Christine was one of the founding members of the Stella Prize, sits on the Readings Foundation board, the Emerging Writer’s Festival and the Victorian Women’s Trust and has been a judge on various literary awards. She is passionate about Australian literature and  ensuring that reading continues to allow endless possibilities for everyone.

Jennifer Fraioli Speaker

Jennifer Fraioli is the Readings Children’s Book Expert. She has a long history of loving children’s literature and comes to Melbourne from the sunny shores of California where she worked at Barnes and Noble. Jennifer grew up surrounded by the art of verbal storytelling.
