all that we are is a holistic immersive practice project based in rural Tasmania. As well as hosting over 30 artists in residence each year in a property overlooking Pipe Clay Lagoon, all that we are encompasses the personal practices of Simon Spain and Victoria Ryle.

Simon is a socially engaged and visual artist. His 2023 exhibition "You weigh more when you carry a book” featured an array of hand altered books where improvised drawings. Alongside this practice of working onto existing books, Simon has produced over 30 catalogues of digital drawings recently published a catalogue of his public participatory work "Self Assembly”.

Simon and Victoria have worked together for over forty years co-publishing books with communities. As founders of Kids’ Own Publishing in Ireland and Australia their community engaged publishing practice giving voice to marginalised groups continues while Victoria writes her PhD about this world acclaimed practice.
