Binatang Press is a small-scale independent publisher. Focusing on art and visual culture, we’re all about honest expressions, encouraging collaborators to voice out their observations and personal point of view.

Here in Indonesia, when it comes to publishing, we lack the presence of independent publishers. In a country with so many promising stories to tell, it's our mission to represent non-mainstream collaborators and bring them to wider audience. We tell stories of what subculture is like in Indonesia, working mostly with independent creative communities around us.

Our books are meant to be accessible as possible to our readers in Indonesia, so we always try to sell them as affordable as we can. This way, we also make sure that our collaborators' voice really gets heard by the audience.
