Tai Snaith

Tai Snaith is a Naarm based artist, author and storyteller. She has 7 published hardcovers with Thames and Hudson including a ten year anniversary edition of her first book 'The Family Hour in Australia' and her most recent title 'Wonders Under the Sun'.

Tai's work focuses on research from the animal world, combined with her iconic cut paper illustrations to draw children (and adults) into the wonderful world of animals and draws attention to their plight as our co-inhabitants of Earth and our responsibility to preserve their habitat. Creating a sense of joy, awe and wonder, Tai also runs workshops and gives talks with the aim to encourage other creative kids to put their skills to use and draw attention to issues important to them.

Tai also self publishes a limited edition paperback with every gallery exhibition she has, with 3 titles currently available. Tai's work is held in many private and public collections, including Artbank, NGA works on paper, State Library of Victoria, Great Victorian Rail Trail, Bayside council collection, Banyule council collection and Andaz Prague.
